A real Swede who decides to critically write about Sweden and its inhabitants might get into a lot of trouble, being called traitor and all. That’s where I appear in the limelight.

That is the beginning of this blog. This is the continuation of it.

I’m a Swedish citizen, but some Swedish train conductors speak to me in English, even though I’ve assured them that I can speak their language fluently.

My parents are Chinese. They raised me with Cantonese as a mother tongue (in case you don’t know, Cantonese is one of many dialects in China), but I was born and raised in Sweden, so in fact, I’ve been exposed to the Swedish culture for as long as I can remember.

Life in this culture has both transformed, formed and deformed me. I don’t wish to call myself Swedish, because I don’t look Swedish, but I can’t really call myself Chinese, because I’m not a Chinese citizen and I’m not really acting like one. Living like this is tough, one of many “great” problems that exist in this poor, pitiful industrialized nation.

Therefore, I’m free to critically write about Sweden. Most of the contents is true, some might be exaggerated, but if it upsets you, please turn to another website instead of being really angry over nothing.

Thank you for reading =)
